We are forever searching for that perfect place to spend our special days. Our search for a perfect birthday lunch ended at Rim Naam, at the Oberoi Hotel in Central Bangalore. Rim Naam is one of the most famous restaurants in Bangalore for fine dining and Thai Cuisine.

THE AMBIENCE
The restaurant is situated on a small artificial lake. As you approach the restaurant, you’ll be struck by the feeling of being on a nature retreat. The first stop is a small artificial waterfall set amidst greenery. Next, you’ll get the first glimpse of the Thai style huts that make up Rim Naam.
We sat next to the lake, and gazing at the greenery and the fish feeding in the lake, it was easy to forget that we are in the heart of Bangalore.
The best part was that it started raining just as our meal ended, making everything around us look all the more stunning.
THE FOOD
Thai food is a favourite for both of us, and we had Red Thai Curry (Chicken) and Fried Bhetki fish in sweet and sour sauce. Both were superb. But the best part(maybe because it was a surprise) was a complimentary pastry because we were celebrating a birthday.
THE EXPERIENCE
It is an exquisite experience to visit Rim Naam. The food, the ambience and the personal attention to detail surely bowled us over. Even though prices are steep, we felt that it was a wonderful place to celebrate your special moments, especially if you are a Thai food lover.
